Job Description:
WDEOC is a non-profit Community Action Agency dedicated to alleviating poverty-related conditions in western Wisconsin. Founded in 1966, we operate more than 20 unique programs for low-income families and individuals, including:
Head Start & Early Head Start
Homeless Services (Housing First, Homeless Shelters, Rapid Rehousing)
Child Care Partnership (Resource & Referral, YoungStar, Food Program)
WHEAP Energy Assistance
Weatherization & Home Rehab
Fresh Start (Youth Development)
Business Development (Women's Business Center)
RSVP Volunteer Program (Volunteer Caregivers, Birthday Boxes, Weekend Food 4 Kids)
Transportation Programs (Work-n-Wheels, Paratransit Certification)
We're hiring a Business Development Program Assistant to help assist the organization’s Business Center Department. Job duties include: Data Entry Enters client training, counseling, and business startup data in multiple database (s) to meet required timelines and per the guidelines of each specific grantor
Cross references all databases to assure numbers are accurate prior to reporting to the grantor
Maintain CenterIC database and our online training calendar and online registration process
Manages direct mailing and email correspondence for registration for trainings, workshops, and seminars in all locations as requested Prepares manuals, forms, reports, news releases, flyers etc. as required
Keeps program assistant procedures manual updated
Maintains a calendar of due dates and required timelines for news releases, all data entry and other required tasks to assure duties are completed by the required timelines
Provides Program Information to Clients and Business Community
Provides verbal or written information regarding Western Dairyland’s Business Center services and opportunities as requested
Distributes news releases, community calendar updates, training materials, meeting notices etc. by required timelines
Provides copies of all news releases and printed material to supervisor for approval prior to distribution
Assures that all phone and email messages are returned or replied to promptly
Clerical Services
Maintains files and filing systems for all training forms, client forms, news releases, news articles, documents, records, etc. as requested
Maintains and updates new client files and all program and training forms in both office locations
Completes and distributes written minutes of all staff meetings by the required timeline.
Maintains office supplies for all staff, prepares purchase orders, receives purchase orders etc. as directed
Reconciles PayPal report by the 5th working day of the month; reconciles training and special event income, prepares financial reports and forwards to the Business Development Director in a timely manner
Assists at the front desk as needed
Organization and Implementation of Special Events and Programs as Assigned
Assists in organizing the location, times, speakers, etc for networking meetings
Provides assistance to organize and present the Annual Women’s Business Conference
Other
Performs all duties by or in advance of assigned timelines
Handle and safely secure all payments received for program events
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Experience
This position requires demonstrated experience in secretarial and office procedures
1-year experience with electronic data processing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Have good organizational skills

The starting salary is $26,387 to $32,984 based on experience. We offer a complete benefit package, including:
