Job Opening: Business Development & Women's Business Center Director

WDEOC is a non-profit Community Action Agency dedicated to alleviating poverty-related conditions in western Wisconsin. Founded in 1966, we operate more than 20 unique programs for low-income families and individuals. We are hiring a Business Development & Women’s Business Center Director. This program offers assistance and education to start-ups and existing businesses in west-central Wisconsin. Our services are primarily offered through classes, training sessions, conferences and one-on-one counseling. Special efforts are made to assist economically and socially disadvantaged women through low or no-cost classes and counseling. The Director is responsible for the overall Business Development program, including staff hiring and supervision, monitoring and evaluating performance goals, program budgeting, strategizing, and the overall program budget. The Program Director is responsible for coordinating services, public awareness, and developing relationships with community stakeholders as well as agency employees. This position is full-time Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm primarily out of our Eau Claire office, with the ability to work remotely on a regular basis. Travel within our service area occurs on a weekly basis, and occasional overnight travel is required. Starting wages range from $63K to $75K depending on qualifications and experience. Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required

  • 5 years of management experience required

  • Experience working with low-income populations preferred
