WDEOC is a non-profit Community Action Agency dedicated to alleviating poverty-related conditions in western Wisconsin. Founded in 1966, we operate more than 20 unique programs for low-income families and individuals, including:

Job Description:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Western Dairyland has been granted funds to operate the Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance (WERA) program. This program is short term and only expected to last the duration of 2021. However, one of the perks of the job is working from home! Not only that, but you can go to sleep each night knowing that you prevented households from losing their homes.
We're hiring a WERA Intake Coordinator for Buffalo & Jackson Counties. Primary duties include:
Collecting program documentation
Determining eligibility for rental and utility assistance
Initiating crisis payments in the HE+ system
Conducting follow up and documenting case notes
Updating and maintaining the WERA database
Ensuring program and agency compliance
Coordinating services and doing program outreach
Other WERA duties as assigned
This position requires an associates or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, with 2-4 years’ experience, or 4-6 years’ experience working with low-income populations. This position is based out of your home, so must be able to work remotely with limited distractions. The starting salary is $16.80 based on experience. We offer a complete benefit package, including:
