We're hiring one part-time Teacher Assistant to work at the Eau Claire Head Start Center located near the intersection of Interstate 94 and Highway 93 on the south side of Eau Claire. This is a part-time (32 hours), school-year position. Primary duties will include supporting teachers and cleaning classrooms. Head Start promotes school readiness of children under the age of five from low-income families by supporting their growth and development in a positive learning environment through comprehensive services, which include early learning, health, and family well-being. Candidates should have an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, CDA credentials, or Registry certification at the Teaching Assistant level. The ideal candidate has demonstrated abilities to work with young children, many who are living in poverty. The starting wage is $12.69 per hour and may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. We offer a complete benefit package including health, dental and life insurance, 401(k) plan with up to a 6% match, EAP, paid time off, sick leave, and annual performance-based wage increases of 4% to 6%.
